I was born in a small village in the south of Kenya. In 1975, I graduated from the National University of Nairobi, and that same year I met my future wife Francesca. Until 2009, I worked as a general orthopedist.

What happened in 2009 and why did you leave your job?

In 2007, Francesca was diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis. This became a turning point in our lives. At the time, it all seemed like a terrible ordeal to me.
